Breaking Free?
I’m seriously getting off with this whole Kristen Stewart business.
A couple of years back I thought a peak of her badassness had to be her Oscar blow-off (no-show) while telling the paps “she’ll come to the Awards when she’ll have a quality movie to come with”.
I wrote a piece about it then, too.
I found it so amusing and powerful how she could get away with putting down Twilight every chance she’s got, the books & the movie, all while being the star of it. The face that represents the movie is the one person who trashes it relentlessly! Power.
Here’s this girl, a 20-year-old girl who goes head to head with studio execs and actually fucks with them. In the City of Angels that treats their female population like professional sex workers, this barely not a teenager for a minute fucks with serious suits. You might not understand this dynamic if you’ve never lived in this town; I tell you - it’s humongous power.
I expect lots from Kristen over the years. She never disappoints in her quest to fuck everyone off, to be different, not because she wants to be different like many people think without really understanding her core, so they perceive her as someone that tries to be different, therefore virtually shover her with unsolicited advice: “Come on, just smile, just comb your hair, just wear a nice dress for once and put some heels on” - those fucks.
She just is different.
Nothing to be done about it.
She’s different, she’s weird, she’s strange, and she is so refreshing amongst her lame generation who all look the same, dress the same; they sing these little songs and do their unmemorable little movies and dwell about boys that are even lamer than them.
The Mini-Cooper-gate! I was so proud! It’s like she exceeded all my expectations. I viewed her a little tomboyish, moody, unassuming, and cynical, but this? My god, she’s a force. A serious, edgy, unexpected, sexy, mischievous FORCE with much more power than even I gave her credit for.
Cheating, ok, you have some thoughts about it. I won’t try to tell you what you should consider morally right or wrong. Chose your sides. Not discussing that part, and it’s unfortunate for everyone involved that got hurt. Things are not one-sided in life, as much as we like to preach it when it comes to someone else’s digressions, while we find excuses for our own with much less vigor. What amazes me - balls.
Balls on that chick.
In a world full of Taylor Swifts, when even enormous fame & fortune can’t save you from being someone’s doormat, you have this girl who’s dating the most sought-after man in the world, and she does not give two damn about it.
While the whole planet screams for him, this chick’s like - I don’t. Not just that, I want someone else! Someone older. And I will drive around Mullholand in broad daylight and smile at the camera if I feel like it.
A nice liked boyfriend. No sex appeal, or at the least a very unassuming one. Or maybe he just needs to grow into it.
An older sexy guy.
Tired to live by others’ expectations. Rebelling against the crowd that thinks they know how you should feel about someone they adore. You should be grateful!
Having to do something this wrong to show them they are wrong? It’s almost poetic.
This girl is so off, it’s so godamn right.
